Hands-On!

The non-profit Anatomy in Clay® Centers in Denver features hands-on workshops in human and animal anatomy. Form bones, muscles, nerves and more with clay on scale models of humans, horses or dogs.

It Works

We’re a unique learning facility that offers the one-of-a-kind Anatomy in Clay® Learning System. Research shows that participants retain more information through our hands-on method than through dissection or lectures.

Many Applications

A variety of health and professionals have discovered benefits from taking classes at the Anatomy in Clay® Centers. These include professionals who work in physical therapy, movement therapy, yoga, Pilates, dance, and general healthcare applications. Some workshops include the opportunity for Continuing Education Credits.

Innovative Instruction

The non-profit Anatomy in Clay® Centers seeks to promote and conduct anatomy education using an innovative method of instruction in order to empower self-discovery in each of us by forming anatomy with our own hands.

Wide Variety

Workshops at the non-profit Anatomy in Clay® Centers offer a rare opportunity for a hands-on exploration of human and animal bodies, including important substructures. Workshops focus on the knee, the hip, the shoulder, the foot and ankle, the hand, and the female pelvis.

All Levels of Learning

The non-profit Anatomy in Clay® Centers offers an entirely different learning concept. Leave traditional charts, illustrations and dissection methods behind. No sit-and-get. No lectures. Anatomy In Clay® Centers

a Formative Haptics™ Program

Anatomy in Clay® Centers exists to expand upon centuries of exploration into human and animal bodies. The system was founded by Jon Zahourek, who pioneered a new way of teaching anatomy more than thirty years ago with an entirely hands-on approach to learning it. In its lengthy history, anatomy has been closely linked with the medical sciences but is also an essential element in the understanding of who we are and how we function in the world, a subject with broad implications.
