This 4 hour workshop will explore the myofascial connections originally described by Vleeming and Snijders: the anterior oblique, posterior oblique, longitudinal and lateral “slings”. The sling system is thought to contribute to the concept of force closure - forces exerted by extrinsic muscles via their ligament and fascial attachments that compress and stabilize the sacroiliac joints.
This workshop utilizes the Anatomy In Clay® Learning System to build the muscles and fascia of the sling system and includes a movement lab to help the student better understand its function. References will be provided.
