Attention, Aestheticians, Cosmetologists, Nurses, Physicians, Educators, and Artists!
In this engaging hands-on workshop, the focus is on surface anatomy of the face – the soft tissues and facial glands.
ANATOMY IN CLAY® Centers will teach all the major muscles of expression and chewing by building them with clay onto a scale model human skull.
Building from the inside out, lay in and trace the paths of the major arteries, veins, glands, and cranial nerves.

Zahourek has taught human anatomy for over 40 years. He created his “Anatomy in Clay® Learning System” during his tenure at Parsons School of Design in New York, teaching his students anatomy by building it with clay. His workshops in comparative anatomy have been featured at the Smithsonian Institution and the Darwin Centre/Natural History Museum in London. Zahourek trained the Smithsonian Institution’s forensic facial reconstruction specialist, Betty Pat Gatiliff, who taught his approach for decades across the U.S.
